Privacy notice
Work in progress. This page is a draft. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor, and it may change. Questions: hello@docsdue.uk.
Version 2026-10-15.1.
What happens to your details when you use this website, above all when you send the "Request a pilot" form. The demo uses sample data only, and this site keeps nothing you do in it.
Who we are
This website is run by DocsDue, operated by Mojtaba Javeed Siddiqui, an individual based in Hyderabad, India. DocsDue is not a registered company. We decide how your details are used: in data protection terms, we are the controller.
Contact: hello@docsdue.uk. Write to this address about anything in this notice, including your rights and complaints.
What we collect, and why
If you send the pilot form, we collect your name, your firm, your work email and anything you write in the message box, which is optional. We also record when you sent it, and which version of this notice was on the form.
We use these details only to reply to you about a possible pilot of DocsDue, and for nothing else.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to hello@docsdue.uk. We then delete your request. Withdrawing does not make what we did before it unlawful.
You do not have to send the form. We need your name, firm and work email to reply to you; the message is optional. Please do not include anything about your clients.
When you visit any page
We do not store your IP address. To stop abuse, the site counts the requests from each IP address in its own memory. That count is never written to disk or to the database, and it is lost whenever the site restarts.
Our web host, Render, passes every request on to the site, and may keep its own short-lived access logs, as web hosts do. For this, and for the count above, we rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the site safe and working. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and nothing from other websites on these pages; the cookies page explains the one check we can make only once the site is live.
Who sees your details
Your request is read only by the operator. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else, and we do not add you to any marketing list. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
Two service providers handle it for us, only on our instructions:
- Supabase, in London, UK: stores pilot requests in our database.
- Render, in Frankfurt, Germany (EU): runs this website, so every page and form passes through it.
We reply to you from hello@docsdue.uk, so our emails with you are also held by the provider of that mailbox, under its own terms. That provider is not named here yet.
Where your details are held
- Pilot requests are stored in London, UK.
- The website runs in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Germany is in the European Economic Area, which UK law recognises as protecting personal data adequately.
- The operator reads and answers pilot requests from Hyderabad, India, so your details are seen there. The UK has not recognised India as protecting personal data adequately.
- The provider of our mailbox may hold our emails with you outside the UK.
How long we keep it
There is no fixed period yet, and nothing deletes a request automatically: a request is deleted only when the operator deletes it by hand. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us, free of charge, to:
- give you a copy of the details we hold about you;
- correct them;
- delete them;
- restrict how we use them;
- give them to you in a common electronic format, to keep or to pass on;
- stop using them to keep the site safe, where we rely on legitimate interests (your right to object).
You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@docsdue.uk. We reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first, at hello@docsdue.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, and tell you what we are doing about it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator: ico.org.uk.
Automated decisions
We make no decision about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.
If we agree a pilot
A pilot would involve different information, such as your clients' documents. It would have its own written terms and privacy information, agreed before it starts. This notice does not cover a pilot.
The demo
The demo shows sample clients and documents only, and this site keeps nothing you do in it. The one thing the demo can store is on your own device: its keyboard-shortcut setting, if you change it (see the cookies page). Do not upload or type real client details anywhere on this site.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, its version above changes. Each pilot request records the version its sender saw.
